Following the exciting first week of the 100 day Wool& Dress Challenge in the vintage blue Sierra, I can claim proudly that I have completed week two,

This week in life was a particularly challenging one, because Leah was sick. Leah started getting a slight fever on Sunday, but then it lasted until Wednesday. 🙁 I know every where I search, the experts state that teething does not cause a fever or a runny nose. BUT she had the largest tooth to date emerge at the same time, and it seems correlated to me.

That said, I did not dress in the most inspiring or creative ensembles. However, the dress is so cozy, and it did help me feel a little more “in control” of something by choosing to get dressed and to continue the dress challenge while feeling so much stress around daily struggles with a sick, young child.

Sunday, March 12 (day eight)

Only one quick snap from today’s adventures. It was such a beautiful day in Las Vegas, so I was able to wear the dress without any additions. We went to the playground in the afternoon, and it was so packed!

Monday, March 13 (day nine)

I really enjoy wearing the dress on its own when the weather allows. Leah was starting to get extra fussy this day from not feeling well, so the tiredness is wearing a little on my face. 🙂

Tuesday, March 14 (day ten)

Into double digits of # of days I’ve lasted in the challenge! By far the most challenging day of the sickness and taking the day off of work– cozy sweater of many many years required. Leah’s fever was not going down with Tylenol, so she was needing to be held constantly. It’s so rough to see your child sick, but it is extra sad when you can’t explain what’s going on and they’re too little to understand. 🙁

Wednesday, March 15 (day eleven)

Loving this look with the black long sleeve over top and slightly scrunched up above the belly bump (you’ll see it a few times in the days ahead). Things were starting to look up this day with Leah’s fever starting to get under control.

Thursday, March 16 (day twelve)

Finding my new “spot” to take dress photos here. Not sure how I feel about this outfit and I wore the blouse a few different ways throughout the day. For example, I had a few work meetings on camera, so I buttoned up the blouse on those!

Friday, March 17 (day thirteen)

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Holidays like this one are so much more fun with a little one. I struggled putting together an outfit with green, but happy with the results. Also, I think my bump is growing. 🙂

Saturday, March 18 (day fourteen)

We stayed the night at the lodge inside Zion National Park for an early celebration of our third wedding anniversary. This was on our way out to dinner!

Pregnancy Journal this week (Week 20)

Halfway point! Such an exciting milestone to be halfway through. I remember last time I was pregnant at 20 weeks thinking, “well, now I’m REALLY pregnant!”. Only this time, I feel like my thoughts are “well, I’m hardly pregnant!”

In all honesty — between the realization that I am onto the second half of pregnancy and having a hard week with taking care of a sick toddler — I started to feel anxious on what is to come for life with two children. I feel anxiety about finances, childcare, career, splitting my/our attention on two children, breastfeeding again, finding a name we agree on, and arranging our house. I’m hoping the excitement of our new daughter arriving far outweighs all of these stressors eventually, but they were feeling very real this week.
