There are many tourist activities in Indianapolis to enjoy, and a lot of these include spending a lot of money. However, there is so much to see in the city that is local, unique to Indianapolis, and not very expensive. Here are a few of the Rose Family Indianapolis favorites.

1 – Biking. There are so many beautiful biking trails, and you really can get to the best neighborhoods in Indianapolis by bike. Check out our favorite route here.

2 – Garfield Park Conservatory. This is such a beautiful, hidden gem just south of downtown. There is so much to learn about the plants that are living in the conservatory, and the outdoor spaces give much room to spread out and enjoy an afternoon outside.

3. Indianapolis Art Center. Check out the outdoor sculpture garden as a break from a bike ride along the Monon. Or, if you have the time, check out one of their pop-up art classes — both child and adult friendly!

4. Disc Golf at Washington Park. If you are breaking into the game of disc golf, Washington Park in Indianapolis is a great park to get started.

5. Browse your way up and down Mass Ave. Learn about the Indianapolis legends through the murals along Mass Ave, shop local shops, or eat at one of the many restaurants with patio seating along the street.

6. First Friday art shows in Fountain Square or Circle City Industrial Complex.

7. Climb the stairs to the top of the Monument. Get your heart beat racing by by taking the stairs to the top of the iconic Indianapolis monument in the center of the city.

8. Eat at one of our favorite restaurants. Eating out does cost money, but its something we all need to do about three times a day!
