2022 was our first full year of living in Las Vegas. The year was our first full year of parenting as well. While much of our vacation time was taken up by family visits and introducing Leah to so many loved ones — we are proud of how many adventure/fun trips we squeaked in!
Here are the most memorable spots we landed in this past year — and ones we definitely want to visit again (and again).
#1 — Palm Springs, California
We celebrated our anniversary with a trip to San Diego, visiting family, followed by a few nights in Palm Springs. We loved the restaurant options, the fun downtown to walk around, and all of the hiking and biking trails. (also, vegan date shakes!) As our first anniversary as parents, we will have a sentimental connection to Palm Springs on top of how much the place has to offer!
#2 — Park City, Utah
It took us a few days to fall in love with Park City, but we ended up falling hard for Park City! We are amazed at how walkable the city is, all of the hiking trails we could take from our doorstep, and the shopping options! Finding new clothes for my wardrobe is a new favorite vacation activity from the year too.
#3 — Idyllwild, California
While it is a sleepy town during the week in the summer, we cannot get over how much Idyllwild has to offer. Our jaws were hitting the ground on every hike we explored — including one that connected to the Pacific Crest Trail. The local restaurants, chocolate shop, and shops were a joy too for days where we just needed to use the stroller! Fun fact — Idyllwild is another spot I picked up new additions to my wardrobe.
#4 — Historic Coronado neighborhood in Phoenix, Arizona
I am not sure how much I would love a long stay in Phoenix, but I do know I think back constantly to the Coronado neighborhood. With so many vegan restaurants in walking districts, beautiful homes to admire, and it is not too far from the Arizona Botanical Gardens (a true gem).
