The first trimester

There are many special memories from our first trimester — from the first ultrasound to sharing the news with family and friends. It was so special to be pregnant with BOTH of my sisters at the same time. Little did we know at the time that we all would have girls as well!

The first trimester also included a lot of changes for our family. We moved from Indianapolis to Las Vegas – which included selling most of our furniture, packing up, and getting my dad to help drive a moving truck with us across the country

For a few weeks, I thought I needed to find a new job as well, which was intimidating when you know you are pregnant. We also visited and met a few doctors before deciding on our OB for the pregnancy.

Regardless of all of the unknowns in the weeks of the first trimester, I have fond memories of those early weeks before I could feel the baby move. I, fortunately, did not have morning sickness — which I cannot imagine how we would have driven so quickly to Nevada had I been ill. I do remember being extremely tired, and David took a few photos of me napping around the house in all the comfy spots.

It was common also for me to check the mirror every time I walked by to see if my belly was showing a bump. đŸ™‚
